Have you ever wondered what the people behind Paperblanks get up to every day? Did you ever look at a Paperblanks design and wonder, “Hmm, how would this look on my desk?” Well, in this new exclusive blog series, we are diving headfirst into uncovering what our staff have on their desks.
First up we are heading to Marketing, the brains and strategists behind our campaigns; I have spoken with our Marketing and Multimedia Executive, Kavya. A Paperblanks employee since June 2024, Kavya is an integral member of our Marketing team. I didn’t choose her only because she sits beside me and I look at her desk every day, but because she is constantly building reports and assisting in developing new concepts to bring to life within the Paperblanks world.
When I asked Kavya what her day-to-day looks like, she told me that her routine varies. Ordinarily, she is completing her tasks, heading to meetings, and brainstorming with the rest of the Marketing department for their latest campaigns. Other days she could be supporting in coordinating launch videos and researching new products. Whatever else the day may bring, Kavya describes a few constants: two coffee breaks, usually an iced matcha with coconut milk, and “discussing what to buy for my lunch with my team members.” This is arguably the most important part of anyone’s day!
Kavya has an array of Paperblanks products and stationery for work to help her stay organized and plan her day. Her dot grid journal is a must. She uses it to scribble ideas and write her tasks and notes during important meetings, and the dot grid interior makes it easy for her to get all the key points down. Kavya’s choice of cover is Inkblot from our Old Leather Collection; its simple Renaissance-inspired design is classic and reliable.
In addition to her Inkblot dot-grid journal, Kavya also uses a Morris Pink Honeysuckle 12-month planner. This is her staple that never leaves her desk; she uses it to keep track of her tasks, not letting anything slip through the cracks. To take down her latest research and meeting minutes, Kavya uses her Paperblanks pencil, specifically the Michelangelo, Handwriting design. This is the perfect tool to write all the important points once the meeting is over, and coincidentally is another product with a design inspired by the Renaissance.
Apart from her Paperblanks products, I asked Kavya, “What are the other essentials you couldn’t live without?” She said she always has her coffee cup, water bottle, lip balm, hand sanitizer, and, of course, her antihistamines. You’ve always got to be prepared, especially during pollen season!
