We love browsing social media galleries like Instagram and Flickr to find the creative touches people add to their Paperblanks books. Our Peek Inside… series is our way of celebrating the time and effort people put into telling their stories through journalling. For this month’s Peek Inside we are especially pleased to be able to share Oscar’s work in both an English and a Spanish blog post. About his journal of discovery, Oscar had this to say:
With the work I have done in this journal I wanted to portray my amazement at the hidden treasures the world has to offer. I want my work to be a testimony to these secrets and represent all those who seek to learn the wonders of nature.
This journal has become a space for me to trace and express my ideas, to draw whatever I feel in my day-to-day life and to map all the delights that have touched my soul.
I’m passionate about the history of art and culture, especially that of sixteenth-century in Europe, which was a time when artists and researchers truly embodied all that they discovered. The elements of science, imagination and magic have combined to inspire magnificent creations. Thanks to these early artists’ discipline and passion to learn more about the essence of reality, I and many others have been led into our own creative works.
The extraordinary designs found on Paperblanks journals are an important part of my daily inspiration and motivation to create. Paperblanks are for people who love to dream and who know that wonders still exist.
