What would one find in the pages of your Paperblanks journal?
My Paperblanks journals are literally filled with anything that has ever popped into my head. You’ll find half sketches, full sketches, ideas for designs and blog, code, book titles, recipes, and plans on how to get Ferrero Rocher to let me manage their social media accounts for Nutella!

Do you have any personal philosophies you’ve come to develop about writing, art, creation or culture?
Pursue what you love, follow your passion, and don’t be afraid of the road that lies ahead.  I’ve always loved to code and make beautiful things over the Internet, but no one ever gave me a chance to do that because I didn’t have the degree to prove my skills. So I started Caffeinated Designs. Yes, for the first two or three months it was hard, and I lived largely off of ramen and coffee, but then the hard work started paying off. Jobs started coming in, then the money, and then the contacts. Now, not only have I achieved my dream to work in web design, I own a company that does it. It still feels so incredible to say I own my own business. I’m 25!

What sets Paperblanks apart from other journals you’ve used?
Definitely the quality. With Paperblanks you get what you pay for. I’ve paid absurd amounts for journals and dayplanners, only to find that the pages will damage, and the cover always breaks. I’ve never had that experience with Paperblanks.

Do you have a favorite Paperblanks design?
I just love the design and texture of the Laurel Burch Soul & Tears. It’s unique.

Do you have any advice for other creative people?
Go out there and create! You want to paint? Then paint. You want to write a novel? Sit yourself down with some coffee and get cracking! Don’t second guess yourself, and don’t listen to others when they tell you that you’re not good enough or that your product will never sell. Trust me, if you have the passion, you are good enough. And your product will sell. Don’t be afraid to show off your creativity to the world, and let people be inspired by you.
