My name is Ines Skobe and I live in Zagreb, Hrvatska, Croatia, by the Adriatic Sea. I am 26 years old and am currently studying philosophy and religious sciences. My loves are art, writing, typography, fashion, and traveling, and my dream is to move to London to become a writer. I sketch and paint, I write poems, and I blog.
I discovered Paperblanks while browsing in a bookshop one day. Captivated by the designs, textures, and colours of these beautiful blank writing journals, I simply could not leave the shop without getting one for myself. This moment, which happened several years ago, marked the start of my love affair with Paperblanks. Since then, I always make sure I have a new Paperblanks to begin each time I reach the end of one writing journal.
If a person were to peek inside the pages of my Paperblanks book they would find my sketches, dreams, ideas, designs, inspirations and stories. Because I use my writing journals for different purposes, I often have many on the go at once. One I will use for notes to recall things I need to remember. In others I write poetry, draw, or I practice typography.
Aesthetics are very important to me, and I’m drawn to objects that possess a rare and remarkable beauty. Every single Paperblanks design I’ve discovered has this quality. Rather than having a favourite journal that I buy over and over again, instead, I collect different ones and display them once I am finished using them so they can be admired.
Paperblanks provides a design for each of the many different moods I feel, and the many dreams I hold.
