trav·el·er or trav·el·ler
n. One who travels or has traveled, as to distant places.

Michelle Y. sent us this photo from her trip to Mexico. It depicts her Safavid Binding Art journal in front of El Castillo, a temple in Chichen Itza. She wrote us the following about her trip:

I took this photo on September 22nd, 2012, the day of the Autumn Equinox. Every year crowds gather here at Chichen Itza to view a shadow falling on this temple, El Castillo, in the shape of a serpent. In ancient times this event communicated to the Mayans the changing of the season. It’s a shame all my fellows travelers left the site disappointed this year! The sun, obscured as it was by the clouds, wasn’t able to peek out and give us the big show.

My Paperblanks journal was invaluable on my trip to Mexico. I don’t think I’d be able to hold onto quite as many memories (like this one!) without it!
