I identify and understand at least 8 like these. ‘One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven on by some demon whom one can neither resist nor understand’ This one especially! I’ve had so many times that I had to get up at night and write a quick idea down, then couldn’t asleep as more of the story followed in my head.
