No stranger to innovative and art-fuelled products here at Paperblanks, we found this new product – so-called “Literary Jewelery” – incredibly fascinating! Jeremy May creates and sells jewelery made up of pages of literary works, such as Oliver Twist and Pride and Prejudice. May’s process involves “laminating hundreds of sheets of paper together, then carefully finishing to a high gloss.”
May sells the pieces off of his website here. Interestingly, every piece is unique, and the pieces are purchased with the jewelery “re-inserted in the excavated space” (see below for an example)!
The below video, in German, starts off showing a ring made from the pages of Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre and also shows May’s process of making these unique jewelery pieces!
