The NY Book Editors Blog (a fantastic writer’s resource if ever there was one) published the following map last week and we loved it so much we wanted to share it with you.
Writer’s Block is a temporary difficulty that “blocks” a writer from producing work. It can be incredibly frustrating (or even frightening), but comfort can be taken in the fact that so many of the greatest and most prolific writers have suffered from–and, indeed, overcome–the phenomenon. (From Steven King to F. Scott Fitzgerald to J.K. Rowling!) All of the advice listed in the map below can be of value to a sufferer of Writer’s Block.
Our favourite piece of advice from this map full of great advice? “Make your character want something – badly.”
