Egyptian sculptor Gavin Worth creates complex sculptures made entirely out of bendable wire. These sculptures’ imagery, all of which resemble line drawings, only become aparent to the viewer when viewed at the right angle.

Worth believes these scultpures “engage the viewer by involving them in their subtle changes. When the light in the room shifts, so does the mood of the piece. A breeze might softly move an arm.” All of the imagery depict what Worth describes as “honest, unguarded moments” – the kind of moments that Worth find to be the most beautiful.

  1. Hi !

My name is Israel Teow, I am looking for someone to draw out and cut out a 3d Hand sculpture.

It is for a preschool where I am currently freelance as an optional Art enrichment provider.

I need the giant hand for my next year curriculum centred around CARDBOARD SCULPTURING.

Therefore, I am enquiring whether you can cut and flatten it and deliver it to me in Singapore.

I am not sure know whether you work with cardboard but I thought is no harm exploring with you as I like your wire work.

Can you kindly give me a quote for a Giant Hand wire sculpture? Please send me an email so I can attached photo to give you an idea of the “Giant Hand”

    Thank you,
    Israel Teow

    • Hi Israel,

Thank you for your interest in this article on Gavin Worth’s wire art. We’re also greatly inspired by his creativity, and that’s why we wanted to profile him on our blog. Unfortunately, we don’t work with Gavin so can’t help with the commission of a 3D Hand Sculpture. If you’re interested in learning more about Gavin, though, his website can be found here:

      All the best,
      The Paperblanks® Team

  2. Hello, those are really nice designs you made and I wonder why this art is underrated. I was hoping to get started on wire art since I came across a sculpture supply shop that can help me get started also. I hope to read more about Gavin to really hone my skills in the future. Thank you and I am really lucky that I came across this article.
