We always find it interesting learning about the different ways peoples use their journals – but naturally it’s doubly interesting when it’s a genius‘s writing process! In an excellent article on the Art of Manliness blog the writers analyze the notebooks of 20 famous men, and one bit about Mark Twain caught our attention.
Mark Twain liked to carry around “leather bound notebooks custom made according to his own design idea.” The blog article goes on to describe these notebooks:
Each page had a tab; once a page had been used, he would tear off its tab, allowing him to easily find the next blank page for his jottings
So that makes us wonder: If you had the ability to custom-design your own journal to add or subtract anything, what would you do?
