Laser Pointers Turn Baroque Architecture into Interactive Instrument

Here’s the coolest thing we’ve seen today, courtesy of Wired: The Archifon I. is a de-batized-Czech-chapel-turned-interactive-virtual-musical-instrument. Visitors can create audiovisual reactions off the chapel’s baroque architecture by pointing laser pointers at over 100 different elements. Example: angel statues will “sing” when a laser is pointed at them.

This project is the work of musician and multimedia artist Tomáš Dvořák and visual artist Dan Gregor. Check out the Archifon website for more info!
