Famed Mansion that Inspired Fitgerald’s “Great Gatsby” Now Gone

Check out the above video from CBS News about the recently demolished “Great Gatsby” mansion. The mansion, a 2,000-square-foot Long Island estate, was host to many grand parties in the roaring 20’s and was supposedly the inspiration for Daisy Buchanan’s house and the lavish parties depicted in F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel.
